Although there were few jumpers, a crowd of onlookers gathered for the annual Polar Bear Plunge at Lake Maloya at Sugarite Canyon State Park.  The air temperature was 11-degrees at 1pm, and the lake ice at the boat ramp area looked to be over a foot thick.

In addition to the Plunge there were snacks, hot cocoa, and activities for kids.
