Surrounded by high hills and mountains, North Lake State Wildlife Area has spectacular scenery and wildlife.  The main feature is North Lake, which is popular with fishermen.

Hiking Opportunities:  The property may not have any formal hiking trails, but there is plenty of space for wandering and exploring.

Paddling Opportunities:  North Lake is open for paddling, wind sailing, and electric motors.  Motorboats are not allowed.

Camping Opportunities: Camping is not allowed in this state wildlife area, but the property is adjacent to the San Isabel National Forest.
