Friends of Sugarite, Volunteer Organization

The Friends of Sugarite is a volunteer organization affiliated with Sugarite Canyon State Park. The group performs work projects, and organizes and staffs many of the public events that take place at the park.

There is an annual membership fee, which is offset by an included season pass to the park.

Some of the events involving the Friends of Sugarite:

• Polar Bear Plunge
• Christmas on the Chicorica
• Park cleanup
• Raffle ticket fundraiser
• Sugarite Fishing Derby
• Master of the Mountain Adventure Relay
• Down and Dirty Mountain Bike Race
